Upcoming Video Release!

We are looking forward to soon releasing our official video for the song "Happy" off our "We are Still" album. We had an amazing experience shooting it with Ben Srokosz and Jonathan Abrosimoff of Chatham's "Gatta Creative"! Look for it soon along with a brand new track recorded by Ben himself!

We're Anticipating Another New Recording Quest!

We're excited to announce that, after becoming acquainted with Ben Srokosz, who worked on our upcoming video release for the track "Happy," we are teaming up with him to record a brand new song! We are planning on tracking the song at Chatham Kent's "The Kent" event venue, which is a really cool old church building! We're going to be experimenting with analog tape, various types of room sounds, and homemade and rare gear on this project. It's always a different experience for us when we record something new. We believe that the plans for this one are meant to be! We're pumped about going forward with this and updating you along the way!

Analog Mixing Sessions at EMAC Recording Studios

We are excited to have completed the 2-day analog mixing sessions with EMAC Recording Studios for the first six songs of our album. It really was a refreshingly creative and fun approach to this stage in the recording process. Since we recorded these songs analog onto 2 inch tape, we found that the natural progression in the evolution of the tracks was to stay true to this pure approach and to remain in the non-digital realm. We are using all sorts of cool old gear, including compressors and equalizers. Our head engineer, Matt Grady, gratefully pointed out that our album has been forcing him (in a good way) to use the most analog gear that he has ever used on an LP. It has been an insightful journey for all of us involved. We're able to hear the sonic differences that outboard effects and tape bring to the music in comparison to modern widely-used digital techniques - most notably, warmth, atmosphere, and character. We are all pleased with the way that the mixes have helped shape our vision for these six songs. For now, we are saying goodnight to the tape while it rests in storage until it is awakened at a later time to be compile with another set of brand new tunes for our full-length vinyl record. Keepin' the dream alive!

EMAC Tape Recording Sessions

We've now had our first couple of sessions of recording our new songs onto 2 inch tape at EMAC Recording Studios in London, ON!

It is such as experience. We love the warm, full sound that the tape brings to the recording. The engineers even said they liked the smell and feel of the tape!  There' s more time to breathe and reflect when recording the "old school" way for which we are grateful. We're learning that, the more advanced technology gets, the more it can actually increase our busyness and stress level. Hence, we are loving this "new" old way of working on this record.

We are now in the process of working on some more songs and preparing for future recording sessions. We will keep you updated on our journey towards pressing our fresh ideas and passions onto vinyl. It will take a while...but, we believe, it is well worth it!
